In the summer, if you ask a local what is the ideal time to visit Montréal, they'll likely reply, "All season long!" International Nuits d'Afrique Festival (July 11–23, 2023)
The Festival International Nuits d'Afrique, now in its 37th year, promises to keep you up and dancing with its jam-packed schedule of more than 100 performances, events, and workshops honouring Montréal's Caribbean, Latin American, and African diaspora. The line-up for this year comprises performers from more than 30 nations, with the legendary Angélique Kidjo serving as the headlining act.
Zoofest & OFF JFL (July 13 to 29, 2023)
The experimental Zoofest and OFF JFL presents over 125 additional concurrently scheduled events, ranging from stand-up to burlesque, and is the cheeky younger sibling of the Just for Laughs Festival. This is the ideal chance to spot the upcoming JFL headliners early in their careers. Ahmed Sparrow, Black Eye, Jay Laliberté, Katherine Levac, and many more will perform at Zoofest! July 14–16, 2023, is Comic Con.
Pop culture enthusiasts assemble for the annual Comiccon, a three-day convention that puts them in touch with comic book authors, sci-fi and fantasy writers, and the creative teams behind renowned films and TV shows. The convention is held at the suitably vibrant Palais des congrès de Montréal.
International Film Festival of Fantasia (20 July – 9 August 2023)

Mtl en Arts (every July)
Hundreds of artists are given a platform by Mtl en Arts, which turns Sainte-Catherine Street through Montréal's illustrious Gay Village into Eastern Canada's largest open-air arts gallery, to display their distinctive wares and works in the summertime heat. Additionally, many of the pieces are for sale and would look fantastic on your wall at home.
